Millicent Event Room
Step into Millicent, a space that pays tribute to the remarkable legacy of pioneering women’s rights advocate and renowned British suffragist Millicent Fawcett. Famous for her phrase “Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere”, she played a pivotal role in the suffrage movement and worked tirelessly to create positive change in policy for women and the achievement of women’s voting rights.
Encompassing the entirety of the top floor, Millicent spans 420 feet and is our largest space – able to accommodate 20 people workshop style or up to 35 theatre style. The entire room is painted gold to represent the Sunflower, symbol of the women’s suffrage movement in the US. It is the perfect setting for meetings, events and workshops focused on personal, organisational and social change, a place where you can draw strength and courage from Millicent’s unwavering dedication to the cause and be inspired by all that she accomplished.
