Community Activism Events
At the root of our building, in a bold and rebellious little room called Sylvia, a powerful force for change is growing.
A true grassroots initiative where women and men in our community can converge to share, educate and inspire. This is a pro bono space for individuals, corporations, activists and charities who want to make a difference to women and girls. Where you can teach and share your passion and skills to empower others to find their greatness and rise to their full potential. If you have been to an Aspire event before or have been searching for a way to do more, this is your chance to give back.

Step out of your comfort zone and into the underground realm of Sylvia. Painted a Rebellious Red and encompassing the spirit of Sylvia Pankhurst, this room is a revolution waiting to be unleashed.
Sylvia Pankhurst was an artist, writer and suffragette. She devoted her life to fighting for women’s suffrage and played a pivotal role in the suffrage movement, organising working-class women in East London and having a passion for change in Ethiopia. In this room we evoke her legacy as a symbol of rebelliousness and commitment to justice. With a separate underground entrance door with a speakeasy window, this is the perfect space for changing the world.
