May 4th 2023, London UK – Aspire, the UK’s trailblazing organisation for women’s leadership and empowerment, is opening the doors of its brand-new home at Blackwell House.

At a time when women’s rights are under siege in countries around the world, Aspire and its founder, Dr Sam Collins, are spearheading the charge for gender equality and female leadership. Driven by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 5, “To create gender equality and empower all women and girls,” Aspire is a clarion call to women to join together to create an equitable and inclusive world.

The UN Secretary-General has stated that gender equality is still 300 years away, and decades of progress are being eroded before our eyes. From Afghanistan where women and girls have been erased from public life, to the USA where the reversal of Roe v. Wade undermines women’s bodily autonomy and reproductive rights. From women protesting for basic human rights in Iran, to the increase of violence against women in the UK. We are facing a global crisis.

But Aspire is determined to make a difference. Drawing inspiration from the rich legacy of women who have fought for equality throughout history. Aspire’s new home is a haven for women from all walks of life to gather, to share experiences, inspiration and support. With rooms named after the likes of Dame Millicent Fawcett, Dame Leonora Cohen, and Emmeline Pankhurst, Aspire honours the legacy of these women while empowering a new generation of female leaders.

Dr Sam Collins founded Aspire in 2001 and she has dedicated her life to empowering women, coaching and guiding them towards positive change in their personal and professional lives. She has been named one of the “Top 200 Women to Impact Business & Industry” by Her late Majesty, The Queen. Today, her organisation has grown into a global network of like-minded women coming together to learn, inspire, and make a difference in the world.
